HELPING LEADERS PREPARE LOCALLY FOR COVID-19

Thrive Regional Partnership cares about the health of the people in this region. We are committed to supporting community leaders with relevant information that can help inform decision-making.

As COVID-19 spreads across the Southeast, it's important to stay informed and ready. To that end, we have prepared sound data for your county that could help you prepare locally in the case of illness.

No one knows your community better than you, so we encourage you to use this information as a foundation for any strategies you may employ to ensure your community is prepared.

Thrive Regional Partnership and our data partners at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Interdisciplinary Geospatial Technology Lab are here to answer any questions you may have regarding this information.

For questions or comments about this data, please contact Charlie Mix, Director of UTC’s IGTLab, at charles-mix@utc.edu.

Where are the most socially vulnerable in our region?

Every community must prepare for and respond to hazardous events, such as the COVID-19 outbreak. “Social Vulnerability” includes factors such as poverty, lack of access to transportation, and crowded housing that may weaken a community’s ability to prevent human suffering and financial loss in such an event." The CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) is intended to help decision-makers identify at-risk areas within their community so they may best prepare for an emergency situation.
