We Inspire Responsible Growth

Since 2012, we have convened partners across the tri-state, greater Chattanooga region to address the complexities of regional growth.

What We Do

We convene stakeholders across the region to ensure that as we grow in industry, prosperity, and population, we also preserve community and natural character for generations to come.

The Greater Chattanooga Region

Our footprint includes 16 counties across northeast Alabama, northwest Georgia, and southeast Tennessee.

How We Started

In 2012, a first-of-its-kind, citizen-led, public-private planning initiative launched in communities across the tri-state region of greater Chattanooga. Called Thrive 2055, this bold venture formed with a mission to engage people across the region to “create an action plan that makes the most of economic opportunities while preserving what was most loved about our home communities.”

Over three years, thousands of people across the tri-state participated in surveys, polls and public input sessions to identify the region's top issues and build consensus around strategies for its long-term prosperity.

Outcomes of the planning initiative included unprecedented regional collaborations among economic development, transportation, environment, and education partners.
