Rhett Bentley
Rhett Bentley is the Chief Communications Officer for Thrive Regional Partnership, which inspires responsible growth in the tri-state greater Chattanooga region. In this role, she leads communications initiatives across various media, and champions the brand across local, regional, and national audiences.
She is a creative communications and marketing professional with over 10 years of agency and in-house experience. Her career has spanned account management and operations in marketing agencies, as well as communications roles in Chattanooga's vibrant nonprofit sector.
Rhett is a graduate of Sewanee, the University of the South, where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English and minors in Spanish and art history. She also holds a practitioners certificate in Strategic Doing™ from the Center for Learning and Professional Development at the University of North Alabama.
She is proud to give back to her community by contributing to the corporate partners committee of Erlanger Health Systems, leading the parks & trails framework committee for the City of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, serving as president of the Laurelwood Garden Club, and on the vestry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in downtown Chattanooga.
When she isn’t mastering messages or attending committee meetings, Rhett loves to travel and be outside. She is proud of her amateur status in the fields of fly fishing and home gardening. Once, she caught a rainbow trout that was “so big, you should’ve seen it!” and she has successfully grown one tomato.
Rhett's most fulfilling role is raising two kind and intelligent sons with her husband Rob, who runs a fourth-generation construction supply company in Chattanooga. Their deep appreciation for their community and the natural beauty of Lookout Mountain fuels Rhett's commitment to inspire responsible growth.
