John Bilderback
John Bilderback is the Program Director for Natural Treasures at Thrive Regional Partnership. In this role, he facilitates the Natural Treasures Alliance, collaborative projects such as the River to Clouds Route, and the development of Thrive’s Resilient Communities program. John grew up in Sweetwater, TN, before moving to Chattanooga to attend college at UTC, where he earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees.
John’s previous work before joining Thrive involved leading collective impact projects with community partners. These projects resulted in innovations such as the Chattanooga Mobile Market, improved walkability and bikeability of neighborhoods, and policy changes aimed at enhancing after-hours public access to playgrounds at elementary schools in Hamilton County. In addition to his work, John has also played active roles in his community, serving on various advisory committees and boards including River City Company, Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise, TPO Executive Board, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Chattanooga Regional Transportation Authority.
