Reintroducing Placemaking CHA: a virtual hub to share stories, information, and tools to inspire and create the “new normal” of placemaking and community engagement throughout the greater Chattanooga region.

Building on the success of International Placemaking Week in downtown Chattanooga last October, Placemaking CHA invites artists, business owners, civic leaders, and residents to share stories about engaging their communities through public spaces, the arts, culture, and creativity. 

Submissions could address questions such as: What has your community done to create public spaces that promote people's health, happiness, and well being in the greater Chattanooga region? How is your community healing people in trying times through arts, culture, and placemaking? Ideas for content features could range from established programs to coping with COVID-19 through the arts, from temporary installations to permanent infrastructure improvements.
