Electric Trucks are Coming to the Region!
Covenant Logistics Group, Inc. signs a letter of intent for 50 Nikola Tre battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
A collaboration between Nikola Corporation and Covenant Logistics will further Covenant’s sustainability efforts by adding 50 zero-emission vehicles to their fleet. The collaboration will include 10 Nikola Tre battery-electric vehicles and 40 Nikola Tre-fuel cell electric vehicles, following the satisfactory completion of a Nikola Tre BEV and Nikola Tre FCEV demonstration program. The first test is intended to occur in the second quarter of 2022 for the Tre BEV, and the FCEV test is expected to occur in 2023.
