Position Summary
Thrive is a fast-paced organization with an innovative culture seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to support its transportation and infrastructure initiatives under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer. This role focuses on convening and coordinating the Freight Mobility Coalition and Regional Broadband Alliance, regional partnerships advancing Thrive’s unprecedented framework for monitoring and improving the movement of goods, people, and data across the tri-state region. The Project Coordinator ensures that quarterly partner convenings are impactful and provides critical administrative and organizational support to maintain momentum for these collaborative initiatives.
The Project Coordinator will coordinate the planning, facilitation, and follow-up for Coalition and Alliance activities, including stakeholder outreach, task tracking, and fostering collaboration among diverse groups of partners and stakeholders. This position requires a detail-oriented, self-starting individual with strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and bring creativity, focus, and enthusiasm to the role of uniting regional efforts in responsible infrastructure growth and community connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Convene and maintain strong relationships with Freight Mobility Coalition and Regional Broadband Alliance partners, fostering collaboration to advance shared goals.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate quarterly convenings (virtual and in-person), ensuring well-organized agendas, meaningful discussions, and actionable outcomes.
- Prepare meeting materials, track attendance, capture summaries, and manage post-meeting communications and task follow-ups.
- Conduct stakeholder outreach, strengthen engagement, and share updates about community efforts, wins, and challenges.
- Track progress toward project goals, identify potential gaps, and prepare updates for Thrive’s leadership and stakeholders.
- Work with Thrive’s multidisciplinary team to ensure transportation and infrastructure
- goals align with broader organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with staff and coordinate volunteers, serving as the key point of contact for project-related inquiries, projecting a professional image of Thrive throughout the region.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- College degree in Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Passion or experience in transportation planning, logistics, or broadband preferred.
- Proven experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or community facilitation, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and convey complex ideas effectively.
- Knowledge of placemaking practices and cultural diversity within demographic, rural, suburban, and urban communities.
- A self-starter who thrives in a team environment and can work independently to advance shared goals.
- Familiarity with collaborative work platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack) and project management tools.
- Must be eligible to legally work in the U.S. and have access to reliable transportation for regional travel as needed.
